I am from Stafford which is in the middle of England. I have lived and taught in Poland for nearly 10 years. I am passionate about everything to do with education: learning, teaching and teacher training. In my free time I enjoy learning Polish, swimming, skiiing, hiking, cycling, playing tennis and reading.

Andrew Hatfield
Andrew hails proudly from Manchester. He brings with him the musical spirit of the city, and actively plays Piano and Guitar. He really likes Poland, and enjoys speaking Polish whenever the opportunity arises. His favourite Polish dish is Pierogi and his favourite place in Opole is the Rynek, where he can be found on most Saturday nights. He also loves Football, and is supporting the Polish team in the Euro 2008 campaign.

Elizabeth Burkwood
Lizzie is from a small town near Sheffield in the North of England. She trained to teach with International House in Barcelona. In her spare time she loves dancing, especially Latin American and Ballroom, and enjoys swimming, watching films and baking. This is her first year in Poland and she is looking forward to learning Polish and exploring her new home.

Elzbieta has been a resident of Opole as well as passionate about English for many years. She loves the cinema, languages and Denmark. She is keen on travelling and therefore can’t wait to meet all the new teachers from different places, as well as her students for this year. |

I was born in Poland but I grew up in Canada. Just a year ago I've decided to come back to Poland and so I did. Now, I am one of your teachers here at IH and quite happy to be of assistance to you. I am interested in architecture and interior design. I also enjoy listening to all kinds of music. I wish you all a very good year and want you to remember that "English is easy"!

Elżbieta Karasiewicz
I was born and grew up in Poland. In my free time I enjoy hiking in the mountains and travelling. When it comes to my traveling plans, in the nearest future I'd like to see all the European capitals. During one of my trips I got fascinated by Portuguese culture. I've been to Portugal and I'd like to go back as soon as possible. One of my dreams is to go to Brazil and I've started putting some money aside and learning the language.
