Hi there! My name is David and I’m delighted to be working at IH Wroclaw! I grew up in Kent in the south-east of England which is home to Charles Dickens, The Rolling Stones and the best football team ever, Gillingham.
After graduating from London Metropolitan University where I studied Creative writing and English Literature, I’ve been lucky enough to teach in Italy, Spain and Germany. It’s been a great adventure and it’s a privilege to carry on this journey in Wroclaw.
In class, I aim to get my students to relax and have as much fun as possible. If you enjoy doing something, you will always do it better in my opinion. And I like to use songs, culture and my student’s interests and lives to make our classes entertaining and engaging.
When I’m not working, I like to read the novels of Irvine Welsh, play Beatles songs on my ukulele and watch Gillingham Football club break my heart every Saturday. I also really want to learn to paint. So, if you’re an artistic genius, feel free to give me some advice!
